The second 30 selections released on Edison's new format, the Blue Amberol cylinder. These cylinders were released between November 1912 and February 1913. Selections are by popular artists of the day and run the gamut from vocal chorus to comedy. The accompanying downloadable booklet describes features of Edison's high quality marketing, from its top-notch packaging to its offering of the first "liner notes." All of the transfers are done from the best copies of these cylinders to archival quality standards and expertly restored. This volume includes a bonus track: A rare 1918 issue of Arthur Collins' "Preacher and the Bear" dubbed from an Edison Diamond Disc so that you can hear and appreciate the quality of the live recordings.

The complimentary liner notes that accompany this release include background on the Blue Amberol format, images of select artifacts from the Archives, notes on the transfers and a transcription of the marketing material that originally accompanied the cylinder releases in the Edison Phonograph Monthly.
